🌈 Colour, Body & Style Confidence: Alexia’s Story

One of the things I love most about my job as a personal stylist is seeing someone completely light up when they reconnect with their style. Recently, I worked with the beautiful Alexia, whose transformation has really stayed with me — and I’m so grateful to be able to share her story with you.

So, here’s what we did together — and how we made her wardrobe feel brand new, giving her the confidence to make considered choices that will stand the test of time. 

🎨 Colour Analysis in Sheffield: Finding Alexia’s Perfect Palette 

We started with a colour analysis session at her home in Sheffield, where I helped her discover which tones brought out the best in her natural colouring. Using the sub-seasonal method, we explored the colours that worked in harmony with her skin, eyes, and hair. 

It’s always such a joy to see the moment someone realises just how much of a difference the right colour and tone can make — not just to how they look, but how they feel. 

We discovered that Alexia was a Warm Spring – glowing in warm-toned, beautifully bright colours. 

Her colour chart was so beautiful, and she was excited to see how well the shades worked together — and how certain unexpected combinations looked amazing.

👗 Body Shape & Style Personality: Dressing for You  

Next, we chatted about her body shape and style personality. This part is always a relaxed, open conversation — no judgement, no rules, just real talk about what feels good.

Together, we explored the shapes, fabrics, and styles that suited her figure and aligned with her lifestyle. It’s not about changing your body — it’s about understanding it, working with it, and learning to love it. 

By the end of this session, she felt more confident in choosing pieces that truly reflected who she is — and that’s the goal for every one of my clients. 

🧥 Wardrobe Edit: Shopping Her Own Wardrobe 

Instead of heading to the shops, we did a wardrobe edit right in her home. I love these sessions because there’s always hidden potential waiting to be discovered! 

We went through her existing wardrobe and pulled out pieces that already fit her newly discovered colour palette. Then, we created brand-new outfit combinations, styled in a way that complemented her body shape and personality. 

She was amazed at how much we could do with what she already owned — and left feeling inspired to wear things she’d previously overlooked. 

This is the magic of a thoughtful wardrobe edit: fresh style that allows for a more curated approach, making sure every new piece is considered for colour, shape, and style — and can work with other items in her wardrobe. 

No more overflowing drawers with nothing to wear — Alexia is now excited about her style again, and I’m so pleased to say her confidence is soaring.
