Have you ever wondered why some colours make you glow while others leave you looking washed out? A colour analysis session helps you discover the shades that naturally complement your skin tone, hair, and eyes—giving you the confidence to build a wardrobe that truly works for you.
If you’ve ever considered booking a colour analysis, here’s what to expect when you book with me, and what you’ll walk away with.
What to Expect in Your Session
🌈 Understanding Colour Analysis – We’ll start by chatting through everything you need to know about colour analysis, including how it works and what you’ll gain from discovering your best shades.
🌈 The Power of Colour Theory – I’ll explain the basics of colour theory and how identifying your colour season can make shopping easier, help you build a more cohesive wardrobe, and enhance your natural features.
🌈 The Draping Process – Once we’ve covered the theory, we’ll move on to the draping process, assessing each person one at a time to determine your most flattering palette.

Preparing for Your Session
To get the most accurate results, I’ll ask you to remove your makeup before the draping session. Don’t worry I know that can seem like a daunting prospect for people, but we practice 'kind eyes' here, and honestly, when you see them brighten and your complexion even, with your harmonising colours, you'll soon forget all about the make up — I’ll have cleansing wipes available, or you’re welcome to bring your own.
If you’d like to reapply your makeup afterward, feel free to bring your products along with you.
The Colour Analysis Process
1. Discovering Your Colouring
During the draping, we’ll assess your natural colouring by looking at:
✔️ Your skin undertone (cool, warm, or neutral)
✔️ Your depth (light, medium, or dark)
✔️ Your clarity (soft/muted or bright/clear)
From this, we’ll identify your seasonal colour palette—Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter—or a more refined category like Soft Summer or Bright Spring.
2. Seeing the Impact of Colour
Using a series of coloured drapes, we’ll see firsthand how different shades interact with your complexion. You’ll notice how some colours make your skin look fresh and bright, while others may dull your features. This is often the most exciting part of the session—you’ll literally see the difference the right colours make!
3. Learning How to Use Your Palette
Once we’ve determined your colour season, we’ll explore how to use it in your wardrobe and makeup choices.
You’ll learn:
✅ The best neutral shades for everyday basics
✅ Your most flattering statement colours
✅ Which tones to avoid and why
✅ How to mix and match colours effortlessly
