Terms of Service
Cari Kirby Colour Analysis & Personal Styling
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and services provided by Cari Kirby ("the Stylist", "I", "me", "my") trading as Cari Kirby Colour Analysis & Personal Styling. By booking a service, you ("the Client", "you", "your") agree to the following terms.
1. Services
I offer a range of services tailored to you, including:

Gift Vouchers

Group Styling Events or Workshops
Every service is personalised and delivered with care, drawing on professional training and experience.
2. Booking & Payment
Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been received and a confirmation email has been sent. I look forward to seeing you!
3. Cancellation & Rescheduling
I understand that life happens, so here's how I handle changes:
Client Cancellations

More than 7 days' notice: I'm happy to reschedule once at no extra cost.

Less than 7 days' notice: up to 50% of your payment may be retained.

Less than 48 hours' notice or no-show: the full payment will be retained.
Rescheduling
I'll always do my best to be flexible. One complimentary reschedule may be offered at my discretion, though repeated changes may require a new deposit.
Stylist Cancellations
In the unlikely event I need to cancel due to illness or circumstances beyond my control, I'll offer you an alternative appointment as soon as possible, or a full refund.
4. Refund Policy
Because every session is personal and prepared especially for you, refunds aren't offered for completed consultations or services. If you're unhappy because the advice didn't suit your personal taste, that's something I'm unable to refund, as styling is inherently subjective.
That said, if something genuinely wasn't right, please do get in touch within 7 days and I'll do everything I can to make it right.
5. Colour Analysis & Styling Disclaimer
Colour analysis and personal styling are creative, professional services. Recommendations are shaped by:

lighting conditions,

draping analysis,
-
your natural colouring,
-
your personal style goals,
-
your lifestyle,
-
and my professional judgement.
Results can vary between stylists and systems, and that's completely normal. My advice is always intended as helpful guidance, not a set of rules. Ultimately, wear what makes you feel wonderful.
6. Personal Shopping & Purchases
Any items you purchase during or after a session are your responsibility. While I'll always recommend with care, I'm not able to take responsibility for:

retailer return policies,

stock availability,
-
sizing inconsistencies,
-
manufacturing faults,
-
or a change of heart.
You're never under any obligation to buy anything I suggest.
7. Wardrobe Edits
During a wardrobe session, I may suggest items for donation, resale, tailoring, or letting go. The final call is always yours, and I'll never pressure you either way. Once items leave your home, I'm not responsible for anything donated, sold, or discarded.
8. Travel & Home Visits
For home visits outside Sheffield, there may be a small travel or parking fee. I'll always let you know about any additional costs before your booking is confirmed, so there are no surprises.
9. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are a lovely way to treat someone to a styling experience. Please note:

vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash,
-
they must be redeemed within 6 months of the date of purchase,
-
they're valid for any service of equivalent or greater value, with any difference payable at booking.
Expired vouchers won't be able to be honoured, though if something exceptional has come up, feel free to get in touch and I'll see what I can do.
10. Client Responsibilities
To make sure we get the most from our time together, I ask that you:

provide accurate booking information,

let me know about any allergies or sensitivities relevant to makeup or fabrics,

and treat our session with mutual respect.
I reserve the right to end a session without refund if behaviour becomes abusive, inappropriate, or unsafe.
11. Photography & Social Media
I'll only ever share photos or images from our session with your explicit permission. If you're happy to share a testimonial, I may use it for marketing purposes, but please just let me know if you'd prefer I didn't.
12. Intellectual Property
Everything I create for you during a session, including colour palettes, styling notes, guides, PDFs, and any digital content, remains my intellectual property. Please don't copy, reproduce, or share it without my permission.
13. Liability
My services are offered as professional guidance, and I'm not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from styling advice, purchases, or outcomes. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK law.
14. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in line with UK GDPR and will never be sold to third parties. I only use your details for booking management, communication, and delivering your services.
